Melbourne Zoo is a historic zoo, displaying a diverse range of the world's fauna and flora. With more then 350 wildlife species on view everyday, walk through and experience the wonders of wildlife. Stroll through the African Rainforest and take a look at the gorillas raising their young, pygmy hippopotamus drifting through the river and mandrills forage on the forest floors. Escape to the Asian Rainforest and visit the Sumatran tiger and family of Otter. Walk the trail of the Elephants and gain an insight into the Elephant world. Don't miss the butterfly house, with its thousands of colorful occupants flying around and see bugs up close, in the wonderful World of Bugs and Butterflies. View Australian wildlife by walking through the Great Flight Aviary, watching the Fur-seals play in the pool and the little penguins diving into the pools. Also see the Australian Bush Exhibit for those cute and cuddly Marsupials.

The Melbourne Zoo is open 7 days a week 9am to 5pm.
